Cleaning tip!!
I'm fairly sure you can find this tip all over the internet, but here are some uses for it.
Fridges, and really dirty things.. like.... my 20 year old fireplace doors.
They looked like this when we moved in. We actually thought they were dark smokey glass (not clear). Last winter I noted that they were dingier than normal and nothing I had would clean them.
The middle pane isn't too bad right? But look at the right pane... Ekks!! that's black!
So what do you do?
Step 1: get these 2 things. I recommend for BIG projects, way more baking soda than this. I went through 1.5 boxes for these 4 panes.
Step 2: Make a paste. Put 1/2 of box of B.Soda and about 3 Tbls. of water and mix.

Step 3: Apply paste semi thickly to surface. The paste had already started to break down the soot. I just added more and smeared it around. LET DRY.
Step 4. After paste is dry. Now the fun part!
I re purposed an old cleaning spray bottle with pure Vinegar. Add to the spray bottle and head to step 5!
Step 5:
Spray!! All over the paste. Now this will get foamy and MESSY! Have paper towels ready.
Step 6: Wipe it clean!! if you still have some tough spots. Just repeat the whole process!!
Here are my results. I still have some paste on there but I cleaned it up after the shot.
Here is the before shot :)
